Originally I answered this survey the same day Megan posted it in her blog. My intent was to retort to her post with my own answered survey, but I didn’t get my blog soon enough. Fast forward to today, when I found it on my desltop, and decided to answer some of the questions a second time ((the things in these are the answers added for today)). That’s pretty much it. I’ve been too busy to do anything worth writing about.

1. What is your full name? Melinda Michelle Ritchie (soon to be Kansky… Ritchie-Kansky… or… Melinda Michelle Ritchie Kansky… weird, huh?)
2. What color pants are you wearing? green plaid pants of the PJ variety. comfy. ((blue striped pants, again of the PJ variety.))
3. What are you listening to right now? CSI on spike. ((Sex and the City on DVD)).
4. What was the last thing you ate? Vegetable curry from my favorite curry house in Lil-Little Tokyo. ((This is weird – vegetable curry, but this time it is thai/indian fusion curry. I think I was allergic to it, and now my head hurts.))
5. Do you wish on stars? When I can see them through the smog… oh, that’s so sad!
6. If you were a crayon, what color would you be? some kind of hot metallic pink… or burgundy. ((Definitely burgundy.))
7. How is the weather right now? over cast… (a welcome change – it’s been 95 degrees here for weeks!) ((Now it’s back to being 95 degrees, and my apartment is an oven.))
8. Last person you spoke to on the phone? Jerry, before that (within minutes before that, also Mom and Megan). ((Jerry again, and before that Sarah and Erin.))
9. Do you like the person who sent this to you? I don’t knooooow… Megan has cooties. ((I think she got one of those once-a-month, behind-the-neck drops, so the cooties are gone. That means I can like her.))
10. How old are you today? 22! ((22.))
11. Favorite drink? Classic coke from fast food dispensers with ice, and definitely Orangina. And shaken iced tea lemonade with sweetened passion tea from Starbucks. ((Orangina. Cherry coke. Water with ice and a straw with no bugs.))
12. Favorite sports to watch: The awkward dating game that goes on in the bars down here. Hee-larious. ((I really can’t think of a serious answer.))
15. Siblings? Megoon.
16. Favorite month? October/January in Seattle. In LA… May. ((and February)).
17. Favorite food? Healthy Mexican (Rubios, Baja Fresh, Chipotle, La Salsa… and who am I kidding… ANY mexican.) Pizza. Salads. Mashed potatoes and gravy (my dad’s swiss steak gravy is the best.) Sour Starbursts. Egg Salad, potato Salad. Spaghetti factory bread and garlic butter. Chips and Salsa. Veggie Curry. Hot Chocolate. Caramel Frappucinos. Chicken noodle soup. Old fashioned vegetable soup. Hash browns with tabasco sauce. Big Macs. Et-cetera. ((rocky road ice cream, chips and salsa, stroganoff.))
18. What was the last movie you watched? Wedding Crashers. (on DVD I’ve been watching a 8 hour long anime movie called RahXephon.) Also – Arrested Development, again – not a movie, I know. ((Sin City, XXX, and Constantine – see last post.))
19. Favorite day of the year? Christmas morning. ((my days off.))
20. What do you do to vent anger? Whine and bitch about it.
21. What was your favorite toy as a child? My dollhouse.
22. What is your favorite season? Fall and Winter, depending.
23. Hugs or kisses? Hugs
24. Chocolate or Vanilla? Again, it depends. ((Right now, totally chocolate.))
25. Do you want your friends to email you back? generally, yes.
26. Who is most likely to respond? maybe Megan since she also did this survey.
28. Living arrangement: my apartment off of Saran.
29. When was the last time you cried? Like, an hour ago. I had a very productive visit to the company chiropractor, Dr. Hersten. The man’s a genius. ((He also my have hurt my back – I woke up the next day with a pinched nerve so bad I couldn’t walk. It sucked.))
30. What is under your bed? Yikes, don’t tell, but everything that does have a better place to be in my room. It’s a MESS. ((Spiders… eeeeghhshsdfgj.))
31. Who is the friend you have had the longest? Erin, then Audrey.
32. What did you do last night? UGH, got lost on my way to try and find my favorite Greek cafe in Culver City, went to Target, went to Kinkos, downloaded tons of awesome old family photos (hopefully) for use in the Diavolo show. ((I had rehearsal until 7, and then went to Alyssa’s show that she choreographed for and saw the WORST DANCE I HAVE EVER SEEN IN MY LIFE. It wasn’t her piece, it was someone else’s. It involved a terrible nu-metal band, a katana blade, a three headed “demon”, girls in catholic school uniforms but sexifed, and a random guy in doctor’s scrubs. I wanted to set them all on fire it was so bad.))
33. Favorite smell? Jerry’s cologne, wind song, old spice, dewberry perfume oil from the body shop, my peach deodorant, and just-washed flannel sheets. ((Also my new lotion – bath and body works energy.))
34. What are you afraid of? death- mostly violent and sudden – (I’ll second what Megan said.) And getting sick/injured on tour and effing everything up.
35. Plain, buttered or salted popcorn? I actually really, really hate popcorn. Mostly the smell, secondly the taste.
36. Favorite car? This is interesting because Becca and I have been discussing cars recently (she’s about to buy a new Xterra we think) so I actually JUST formed a solid, ordered opinion list: VW Toureg in Gunmetal, Dodge Magnum in Black, Mini-Cooper in Burgundy and VW Golf in Black. ((Now I’m leaning towards the mini, but in black… and convertable.))
37. Favorite Flowers? Peonys (peonies?) and roses.
38. Number of keys on your key ring? hmmm… home (home-home), home (apt-home), room key, car key, mailbox key and the key to the med kit in the rehearsal space… so that’s… what? 6 maybe?
39. How many years at your current job? aha!! approx. 2 months – how exciting. ((plus 2 more weeks now.))
41. What did you do on your last birthday? Went out to dinner with a bunch of my friends at the Bucca di Beppos in Santa Monica. And wrote about half of my Sr. Thesis (groan).
42. How many states have you lived in? 2: Washington and California
43. How many cities have you lived in? 2: Bellevue and Los Angeles (unless you include Playa Del Rey, then 3)
